G’day Fellow Loggers,

Last Sunday we held our August point-score competition in some of the best long-board waves this year. The morning started with a chilly 5 degrees and most competitors were expecting the comp to be postponed due to the lack of swell forecast on all the web sites.

A beautiful winters morning on the North Coast.

It was a surprise to see the sand banks that had been producing nice waves over the past few weeks had gotten better and a small easterly swell, brushed smooth by  a light offshore breeze, producing fun 3-4 ft rights  and lefts in  front of the viewing platform.

Fun glassy 3-4 ft left and rights, what a great day!

Eighteen members competed in 4 heats of two rounds with everyone stoked to have such great waves and the Sunday crowd very considerate of our competitors needs to score two good waves in twenty minutes.

The day warmed up to a sensational winter days with light nor’ easter only starting to waft in during the very last heat of the day.
